POISON IVY SOAP with Jewelweed (approx. 4oz)

Jewelweed is known to neutralize urushiol, the oil that causes itching in poison ivy, poison sumac, and poison oak. This soap is made with water that has been strongly infused with Jewelweed, as well as oils that are also strongly infused with Jewelweed. In addition, camphor essential oil is added to combat itchiness as it is very calming to the skin.

TO USE: When you suspect you have been exposed to poison ivy or other poisonous plants, wash immediately with Jewelweed Poison Ivy Soap, scrubbing the area to help remove any remaining oils. Soap helps to remove the oil from the skin. The sooner you can do this the better, since you will be preventing any poisonous oils from entering deeper into the skin. This soap will also help Poison Ivy from spreading as it does within the first 24 hours while it is still on the top layers of skin and help calm irritated skin.

WHY COLD PROCESSED: Most of today's soaps have natural glycerin removed, only to be placed in lotions and marketed for people as a necessity after skin is stripped of its natural oils. Cold processed soaps are all glycerin soaps (the saponification process produces glycerin) and provide other natural oils for the skin. You cleanse, while nurturing.

HOW IT'S MADE: Cold Processed soaps are made in a traditional method that produces and natural and gentle soap. Oils are combines with a lye water mixture so that the oil and lye molecules can combine to make something new: soap! I make all of my soaps with at least a 5% superfat content. This means that 5% or more of the luxurious oils that I add are left in the soap to nourish your skin and 0% of lye. The end result is a creamy lather, beautiful bubbles, and a pure soap that will nourish your skin whether you have oily skin, dry, skin, or suffer from other skin concerns.
